Q：為什麼是鍍鉻呢?
A：表面光亮有如不鏽鋼（不鏽鋼的光澤正是來自於其中的鉻），鉻的活性比鐵高、甚至比鋅還高，所以有更強的陽極防蝕效應，
不同的是氧化後的氧化鉻是一層至密堅硬、耐酸鹼的薄層可以保護鉻，所以一般來說比鍍鋅更耐蝕更耐久。
